Naomi Klein And The Climate Of Hypocrisy

Image
Source:  The Acorn - 65 Naomi Klein is still remembered by many as an influential figure in the anti-globalisation/anti-capitalism movement which shook the Western world 20 years ago. Books like  No Logo  and, later,  The Shock Doctrine , opened many people’s eyes for the first time to the manipulative ways of the global neoliberal system. It is only to be expected, therefore, that there are parts of her latest book,  How To Change Everything , (1) with which we are in agreement. For example, we would very much echo her description of “disaster capitalism” as being “when the rich and powerful take advantage of painful shocks to widen existing inequalities instead of correcting them”. (2) Klein adds: “The rich and powerful see these tragedies as chances to seize control and change things in ways that favor banks, industry, and powerful politicians, not ordinary people. Disasters are opportunities for change because they disrupt normal life. In a state of emergency, ordinary laws and pra

The Intellectual Perversion of the Gay Rights Movement

Source:   https://dangerousintersection.org/ Andrew Sullivan Writes: We gays emerge from a past in which the freedom to say the unsayable and unpopular — often to great public derision or anger — was almost defining of our kind. We have always been the creators, not the censors; we defend the outrageous, celebrate the subversive, and revel in shock. We have never been the puritans, or the humorless, or among those who want to shut down free expression in order to “prevent harm.” We defend the eccentric, the unusual, the blasphemous, the offensive. We have never attempted to control anyone else’s speech — until very recently. And this is part of what gays have long brought to the world: the fresh air of freedom and creativity and boundary-pushing against the tut-tutting forces of disapproval and censorship . . . The capture of the gay rights movement by humor-free, fragile products of the social justice industrial complex is not just terrible PR for all of us. It’s awful politics. They

by: Gluboco Lietuva Source:  Rights and Freedoms   Dear people everywhere: please take a few minutes to read this, Then, PLEASE do NOT assume “this won’t happen where I live; we don’t operate like that, here”. Because this IS being perpetrated at a global level, so what you think about what is permitted where you life is totally wrong. Local politicians are merely cover for pan-global takeover. All countries are moving in the same direction. Everyone can feel the coercion in the air & smell the fear. I’m currently more angry than frightened. We will, remain independent, cooperative human beings. Mike Yeadon With no Covid Pass, my wife and I are banished from society. We have no income. Banned from most shopping. Can barely exist. But we will not accept authoritarianism. Here’s how life looks after one month in Lithuania, under Europe’s first strict,society-wide Covid Pass regime: 1/ My wife and I have been suspended without pay for 4 weeks. We can’t return to our jobs. Not sure our e

WHO’S BEHIND THE FAKE-LEFT VACCINE GANG?

by Paul Cudenec Posted on  October 20, 2021 Source:  Winter Oak A group of mask-wearing protesters in Brisbane, Australia, are gathered behind a banner bearing the words “Pro Vaccine, Pro Health, Anti Fascist” – a nonsensically self-contradictory combination of labels if ever there was one. Using an aggressive tone traditionally reserved for arms dealers, corporate politicians and actual fascists, a woman expresses her hatred for Australians who have taken to the streets to oppose the  Great Reset  tyranny and demand the return of their freedom. She angrily denounces as “conspiracy theories” and “lies” any suggestion that Big Pharma’s jabs might not be safe. These are “dangerous ideas” she says, which “demonstrate a wilful disregard for the health and safety of the majority”. “Shame! Shame!” bleat her comrades in unison. “You freaks make us sick” declares one of their placards. “Don’t be a scab, get the jab” says another. Questioning the official Covid-1984 agenda is apparently, for
